I think the song is about a girl who seems to be giving some hints to the boy that she likes him, but they're not strong enough for him to tell for sure. The girl probably likes him too, but she's too defensive to show him her true feelings. She opens up a bit but then "hurries back so fast". He keeps replaying that "waving" scene in his head wondering if she is interested. The boy doesn't really know her, but feels insanely attracted to her for no particular reason and keeps imagining what kind of person she is (I made a film/I made it through the window/But who's that star I cast?). Did he wave to me? |

| This song has a personal meaning to me. I always thought SFA was a great band and I have come to love them (particularly Gruff Rhys) since I bought this album. Gruff has delivered the story very well with that voice he has. In my opinion, this song is more than fine because it's autobiographical! | |
