The title Mouth of Ghosts makes me think someone's been running their mouth "You were a mouth without a heart" talking shit without thinking about who you're hurting. Everything else pointsto being cheated on; "trust runs out" "nothing to resolve" "never imagined you'd turn into this" "an action without meaning" ... You get the point :) |

sounds so cool. Yep I think it's definately about a stalker guy. I think it's about a typically pretty girl that treats people like crap..."do you lust for fame or forgiveness" "Now you've stuffed your throat You've walked on your burial ground" She's done something or is a bit of a bitch. That "burial ground" bit sounds like she's dug her own grave or something (socially i mean heh). "Oh you'll draw the crowd With honey porcelain skin and crystal baby blues Your picture in my pocket I'm obsessed with you" But he loves her anyway (or maybe thats why he loves her?) "Oh sweety there's no sense in crying You're above them all Barricade the door You can hold my hand for comfort when you fall" "Well I'll give you everything you want Well I'll give you everything you need" People may not like her or talk about her bacause of it, and he wants to make her feel better about it. This song kind of reminds me of American Beauty. How she's kind of average looking and people might not like her or she doesnt feel as cool as her friend, but this guy's still really obsessed with her. It also has something sinister going on, but that may be just because it's a DEP song. I don't fully get the whole "you're beautiful and i'ma kill you cause ima mental stalker!!!" vibe about it. |

"Self absorb that pity I want to Knock you off your horse" The person should feel sorry for themself (or ask for pity on them) - not the writer "Take your medicine like a champ" as in the saying "a taste of your own medicine" - it's probably payback or revenge for something. "While that sting can last a million years" The sting that he felt caused by this person, he knows it lasts a long time and he's giving it back to them. "Self absorb that utopia, so bad, I just feel it" This could be something like whatever the reason is that the person thought they were so good(or whatever their "utopia" was), it's faling away and now the writer feels it. |
