Really, no comments? This Web site has been around long enough and so has this song. A pretty, bluesy, wistful song by Steve Winwood with his beautiful vocals. The song obviously is asking a musicman to entertain us to blow the blues away.

Cream – Badge Lyrics

I'm not sure the lyric is "I told you about our kid" -- I thought it was "I told you about a kid, now he's married to Mabel." I also believe Ringo Starr contributed that line to the song. It was kind of a collaborative songwriting effort with Eric Clapton, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. I love the fact that it was misread as Badge being the song title, when it was supposed to be Bridge, or that that was where the bridge of the song was supposed to be inserted. This is one of my favorite English blues/Cream/Clapton songs ever.

T. Rex – Get It On (Bang A Gong) Lyrics

This song was named one of the top 10 Sexiest Songs in a list recently (2008). Sorry I can't remember where but it was on the Internet. Anyway, this song does rock -- and roll -- see my comments under my screen name "coolin_baby" for Telegram Sam, another T-Rex song. Good to know about origin and meaning of "the teeth of the hydra upon you" which is a memorable line of this song -- thanks songyone. And yes, Marc Bolan tragically died too young instantly in a car crash two weeks before his 30th birthday and he wasn't the driver. It is documented that he had a premonition and fear that he would die in a car accident. Whether that is what drove him to write so many songs with cars in the lyrics is unknown.

T. Rex – Telegram Sam Lyrics	16 years ago
Marc rocks, still rocks, will always rock. Marc Bolan wrote beautiful songs and T-Rex was a great band in their time. Their songs actually transcend time and sound great today (2008) -- listen to Bang A Gong (Get It On) and tell me they don't. Sweet Marc died too damn young -- R.I.P. Sweetness. You haven't been forgotten and gave the world something to smile about.
