ok, serious stretch...but after reading the first verse, I'm thinking its an alien abduction. Now, bear with me, its just a huge stretch but it kinda fits. Its like she's talking about seeing the lights as they abduct her. Very bright, painful to the eyes. An inch from the bed...could be floating? The term sleepyhead could be referring to a daydreamer, someone not all there... '...the day you burst...' at first, I thought it was talking about a funeral, but as it progresses, doesn't it sound like the scientist who would test and experiment on you, crowding space around the bed...? I know its really random, but even the music, so happy yet eerie... it sorta fits. No idea about the beard. Possibly a metaphor for time passing. |

Er...Probably A long shot, but I'm almost completely sold on the idea that its not so much a long distance relation ship, but a soldier in war. He's "lost his leg" during a battle. Like, for real lost it, not just figuratively. He's dying right there. thats why "Its getting hard to see the sun coming through" But he Still loves the girl way back home, so "what are we going to do?" He sorta has a flashback, maybe a vision of heaven, maybe a vision of a past date, maybe he's going nuts in his last moments (which I think really happens), and thats where he takes her to the "Sleepy Glow" (But I think its Sleepy Grove, like a shady field. No idea why every planet we reach is dead. Maybe its a space war that he's dying at. |

I Personally Think this is about the Child Soldiers, you know, in Africa. How they're brainwashed into being human weapons for their military and are willing to kill even their parents. Or perhaps, its about said Child Soldiers rebelling against their general and going on a rampage. It's sorta self-explanatory when you think of it like that. The "Push it Push it" would be the army leaders pushing their ideals on the kids. |

I didn't really think it was about sex. I thought it was about a young girl, possibly junior in high school with her mom at a beach early in the morning watching the sunrise while eating reggaeton, which is a pasta, if you didn't know. The part about "is your bed made? Sweater on? Do you want to? You know I do.." stuff made me think about what the mom told the daughter right before they left. Did you make your bed before you left? did you get your sweater? Its gonna be cold outside. Do you still want to go out there this early? Its cold and pretty early? The daughter responds: of course I do, I love it! And then, her buddy, Peter Gabriel comes... so... But that s what I thought. I thought at first sex, but None of their other songs seem to be about that... |

I had...always thought that this was about what the soldiers experienced when they get back( dropped my anchor in the dead of night) and don't get any of the money promised to them after service because of government issues(unpacked my suitcase and threw it away, I gave my clothes to the police man) and become hobos on the street who depend on drinking (I put my eyes in a paper bag)and gambling (Spinnin' round like a gambling wheel) Awesome drum beat, tho.
