This song is about denial. I'm not sure who's denying what but he mentions it three times in the song. It's possible the narrator could be talking to himself and is in denial that the relationship has ended. Then tells himself to "go ahead and cry" meaning just let it all out it's over and done with. But he still can't let go completely, he still believes they will be together forever. The music really does tell the story in this song. Really dark in the beginning and end. |
