Bruce Springsteen – Downbound Train Lyrics 16 years ago
I don't think there is a murder in this song at all. I think they are divorced and now living in separate houses (she got their old house). He is just so lonely and thinks about her so much that he starts to hear her voice. He just can't take it anymore, so he runs over to their old house (now only her house) and breaks in. She probably had a restraining order or something against him that warranted the jail sentence (if "breaking and entering" in and of itself were not enough).

Bruce Springsteen – None But The Brave Lyrics 17 years ago
I think this one's about young aspiring bands who leave their lives (friends, significant others, etc) behind in search of that lucky break. Sounds like a lonely process that would be too much for a lot of bands... but thank God the E-Streeters stuck with it and got their break.

Bruce Springsteen – Brothers Under the Bridge ('83) Lyrics 17 years ago
It really is amazing how many songs off of Tracks that Bruce was just able to toss on the wayside that would have been career-saviors for other bands.

Bruce Springsteen – Ain't Got You Lyrics 17 years ago
I think there's a little more to it than that. This song dips into Bruce's personal life at the time. I think it sort of serves as a bridge between the commercial-success of the Born in the USA album and the central theme of the Tunnel of Love album. Bruce was coming off of his most highly $uccessful album but also during that time had to go through a devastating divorce...
