I think the song is about one of two lovers dying. And then when she says "you and I will be safe and sound", I think she's hinting that, come morning, he will have died naturally and she will have followed. |

I agree with Desaparecida on a few points, but I have a slightly different take on both "And you're right to love him/You're right to want to/Close the door and lock me in/Break the key and chase the blood out of my veins" and "You're wrong/I am not alone/But I was right/You were not the only one".
These words seem to show that he hurt her; and that she chose to die alone (most likely from a brokenheart-induced suicide) by 'locking him in', or rather leaving him somehow and leaving him to himself and his guilt (which would be inside him). Following the whole ring of the song, I highly doubt he was cheating on her, at least not by saying she 'wasn't the only one'. I think it more means that he hurt her very badly, and she's right to want to lock him out of her life and destroy him, but she was wrong about him being the only person to hurt her, and he was right about her either 1 - not being the only person being hurt like that (meaning that she had hurt him in the same way), or 2 - that he was right about there being someone else for him to love. As for being "right to love him", I'd think she kills herself over another guy. |
