By far one of my absolute favorite Seether songs. truly I see no reference to Heroin in this song. I mean reading the comments then the lyrics I can but thats not what I think of. I think of War actually. "She's coming over like a suicide And its the same old trip, the same old trip as before Another complicating suicide And its the same old trip, the same old trip. AS BEFORE!" She, being war in this case, is killing many for almost completely unnecessary reasons, kind of like suicide. The same old trip is referring to the fact that every war seems to be the same. fighting for pointless things. "She'll cut you down with a single thrust She's taking over too quickly No medication can cure the lust So say a prayer for the sickly" This part I think of the wounded. No medication can stop them from wanting to fight. their lust for fighting I suppose you could say. And obviously we pray for them to come home alive. And so forth you could think of the rest of the song like this. I know this isn't right and I don't claim it to be. It's Just What I think of when I hear this song. |

As much as I hate saying "OMG I swear this song was about me!" or things like that, this is one of the songs I can relate to most. I adore Seether and this song just means so much to me. Ive been in a few bad relationships of my own and almost killed my self a few years back. At the time my boyfriend was only a friend who helped me stay alive. "Down on her knees, she wept on the floor This hopeless life she wanted no more Dead in her mind and cold to the bone She opened her eyes and saw she was alone" That part still makes me cry. |
