I actually disagree. I think this song is about two people who obviously love each other, but the guy just can't commit to her. There is something missing, and that missing piece is what keeps them apart. To explain, "Yesterday he looked at me With a tear in his eye and said I'll always tell you you're my friend I hope i don't have to lie Cause it's clear you love another man I said you're damn right" I would say that he is saying that he's like 2 different people and she loves the other person that he is (not the one who keeps leaving her, "He was always stepping out for air and he froze.") It's sad because these two people are meant for eachother but can't get over that one obstacle... but that's just how I see it. |
