I think that the song is about friendship that turned into love; they got drunk the night "before", slept together and now he is suprprised that she's still at his place "the morning after". He's not yet sure what this is supposed to mean, but he's full of hope :) I, unlike many of reviewers, can't say it's classic Elliot Smith, because most of his songs are based on some negative feelings. But this one, it makes me feel better rather than worse :) |
