| I'm not going to say I know what Andrew was thinking when he wrote this one, but I like to think it's more like the "la la lie" is part of the background. Like, "You're lying to yourself." So in all actuality, there are no friends who'll help him pull through this hard time. And then it goes along with the bad girlfriend bit, because it's more like he's saying, "I don't need you because I have my friends," but he's lying to himself, thus the "la la lie" in the background... In any case, it's a sad, amazing, powerful song and it just epitomizes the incredible awesomeness of Jack's Mannequin. I love it. | |
