I kind of doubt that any of their songs are really about religion. Davey might use allusions to religion and such to express himself, but I don't think that religion is ever the main idea of the song. He has stated in several interviews for AFI and such that he didn't write lyrics which were politically or religiously charged. But maybe he isn't applying that to BA's, songs;; I don't know. Bitter for Sweet is actually one of my favorite songs, just because the synthesizer is a little heavier and more hardcore. |

I agree with AmoryFlames that the first verse is about how he feels he's flawed or imperfect. "Would you change this time?" I'll begin to change my mind when you can explain why I feel see through.-- This seems to me that maybe he did something to make the person distrust him, like cheat, and they're asking him if he'll change. And he's saying that if you can tell me why I'm not feeling anything or satisfied with the relationship I'll fix myself (change). Eh. I'm not too good with inferencing, but that's what I'd say it means. Love Blaqk Audio... Davey and Jade are both incredibly talented. |
