It's definitely "I turned my back and out came the wolves." My friend actually has an ADTR shirt he got from Warped that says that on the back :p This song is definitely about betrayal, like once mentioned. You think you can trust someone you've known for a while since he mentions a time when he had 'family' so I'm thinking it's someone he considered to be very close. All along they we're putting on a facade, coming in with the "painted face" lyric. I also was thinking about how "You Already Know What You Are" is really similar to this song. |

Maybe it's not literal like how he has written it but it could be about how a relationship has fallen apart because the other person wants to move onto something better implied by "must be something else waiting for you." And he's broken and hasn't entirely moved on wishing the other person will hopefully just come back some day but in the end he tries to get himself to move on but it's not completely clear that he does because he says 'will' and not 'can.' but it does get more optimistic at the end. just my take. :) |

mmm I love SYG. Great new song, although it did take a while for them to put up some new material. Gaia Bleeds is very heavy compared to their past stuff and I enjoy it VERY much :) Love the song way more that This Will Be The Death Of Us. I do agree with this, That Party Scene was amazing (although I kind of prefer Put Up Or Shut Up over TPS). I don't get why you're saying you can't be a 'true fan' if you find some of their music unoriginal. WTF really? It's like saying if you're a 'true fan' you're not allowed to have a strong opinion towards something they do. Might as well keep shut and love everything that comes out of the studio if you want to make sure you're a true fan right even if they decide to become rappers, boomegan. |

tbh I agree with xokvl. The two tracks they've released so far are crap, nothing other than catchy. I'm a big fan but it doesn't take rocket scientest to see how overproduced these tracks are. Yeah, they're just two songs so far but these two songs are disappointments. I'm hoping this is going to be like what they did with SWIR. Release the poppy songs (ie Dear Maria, and Poppin' Champange) first. Yes all bands change, but change is either good or bad. Bands can change their sound a bit but still have amazing lyrics and no generic riffs. I hate that everyone uses the whole "BANDS CHANGE EVENTUALLY" excuse. Obviously they shouldn't play the exact same sound over and over, people will get bored. But that doesn't give them an excuse to come up with crap songs. DON'T GET ME WRONG, I love ATL, and I'm excited for Nothing Personal but I can see where xokvl is coming from, exactly. |

I definitely agree with XxNotsoPunkRawkerxX, because of "Please just forget me when I'm all alone on the east coast" I think it's about a guy, maybe John Oh, maybe not, saying that he does want to be with the girl, but he cares too much about her so he CAN'T be with her because he doesn't want to hurt her. He's saying his tour schedule is crazy so he won't be able to keep up with the relationship he's in, so she should just forget him, and not forgive him because he's across the country playing a show while she's at home all alone missing/needing him, and he can't be there for her. And I think he's also saying the way he explained it to the girl was rude, or upsetting because of this part of the song: "If I could gather up the nerve, I’d put my feelings into words, And if I weren’t so young, or stupid, or restless, I might be able to just soon forget this." So he's hoping they'll just both move on, although I think he still has feelings for her and it'll be hard for both of them. |

well I watched the video for this song and if it has anything to do with the meaning then this is what I got from it: a guy sees a girl at a party, club, show could be anything festive, and she obviously catches his attention right away so he takes a chance and tries to get at her. even though you can hear "don't touch me!" in the song, the video shows him getting the girl. and it also shows him doing stupid things to get the girl. anyways, this song is wayyy catchy :] |

I really like the chorus. I also think the song is more about an inner battle between you and your mind/heart, whatever. It also sounds like a case of bullying. Overall, I think this song is about facing your struggles, and you'll keep suffering with this problem unless you speak up about it, which explains "I'm telling you friend this is something worth fighting for. Does it not seem contradicting to sit back and watch them take more?" It's like the person is scared of speaking up because of how their relationship with other people might change, or the problem might just be embarrassing. They're just saying whatever your problem is, speak up, or won't you'll just keep struggling. |

I'm not sure what I hear but it's missing some things. its "Now don't you beg for mercy" I hear "You chose the outcome" after "bring your glory back" and I hear "It's all a mistake. Tell me your fate. Take me away." Might not be right, but that's just what I hear. It truly does sound like it's about families falling apart in our generation. I can really relate if it is about that. "We are searching for security in tradegy." I love that lyric, and it reminds me a lot about how when people say "OH I'M GLAD THAT WASN'T ME WHO GOT HIT BY A DRUNK DRIVER" for an example. This has nothing to do with Christianity but when he says "She was only a fiction and my creation" it makes me think of how he thought the girl he was dating/liked was perfect and wonderful but in reality she's really not a great person. He just got so caught up in her beauty that he didn't realize how her actual personality was and he lost sleep over her explaining the insomnia thing.
