This is my fav song by this band not only for the meaning itself but also because of the way Sarah sings..it's just beautiful. Sarah is telling someone to believe in himself/herself because he/she can be anything he/she wants. And to prove that, she says she once had low self esteem and now she is living her dream ("I came from nothing here I am I won the war in my head!") I like that this song has a very positive meaning to everyone who's feeling down. |

To me this song seems to be about this girl who really cares for her boyfriend and is always there to support him and help him through his rough times ("Sleep on now I heard that a knee makes a good pillow When your down"). But the boy doesn't seem to care about her feelings and problems, he is never there for her because he doesn't even notice the pain she shows. She doesn't know what she can do to make him see that she also needs some support ("How hard should I fall Before it's my turn to be heard. How much pain should I show on my face Before you listen to a word. How bad should I hurt? How much is enough?") I can relate to this song...I think everyone at some point feels like no matter how much you support someone it seems like that someone can't understand that sometimes we also need a shoulder to lean on... |

This is my fav. song by Korn. I think that they were good friends but he was deeply in love with her. probably at some point they had an affair but nothing serious, at least not to the girl ("Why can't this kiss be true"). But now the girl keeps pushing him away because she never loved him. he keeps on trying to reach her heart even though he knows deep inside that it will never work ("I'm going head unto,' Something I know I will fail"). He ends up hating the girl for all the pain she brought him. In the end when he says "I feel the blood, creep off my body as it pools right there on the ground, what am I now? what am I now?" I think he did kill himself to stop the pain . |

Their album is amazing, my favs are "goodnight" , "red stars" and "unfamiliar" but i really love the lyrics of "looking glass". Seems to be about a bad relationship. At first the girl was deeply in love with the boy, even though his feelings for her weren't true (" A boyish notion of false emotion"), so she changed herself to satisfy him ("Changing to your point of view Fading as I follow you"). But with time she realizes that the boy keeps hurting her ("I see it coming but I can't defend You cut so deep, my belief is gone") and she loses faith in the relationship so she decides to end it and leave. |
