i was wondering if it was "Isle of Wight" (i live there ^^), but that does seem like a bit of a random reference; Call of Why would perhaps make more sense but i'm not gonna argue with the lyrics booklet! one of the few CWK lyrics that i find virtually indecipherable D: GlassMOTG's interpretation seems to make sense though :) |

this song is absolutely amazing, friendly fires should be far bigger than they are. i think, to me its about entering a new stage of life...kind of taking the plunge if you like, and not looking back at the things that you've left behind, because its making a fresh start. 'fear is falling away' - not being scared about doing it etc. very very very awesome song :) |

This song made alot of sense to me as soon as i found out about Simons mother's death, but i think it could be generally applied for anybody who's lost someone they loved. I think its sad that they dont perform it live any more. |

I think this song is about a mix of feelings. He's happy that he has the memories of the relationship. But he's sad that he'll never have them again. And he's still in love with the person he had them with. Pretty straightforward to interpret, lyrically and musically beautiful. |

I think this song is about the ecstacy, but also fragility of love. How you can be feeling so high and so happy, but you wonder if it could ever be taken away from you. But i think its also just about being in the moment and feeling that happiness, and not worrying about it. Its a beautiful song, its so so powerful. It makes me well up, and feel uplifted at the same time. The more i listen to it, i hear it differently, and better. Its not overly lyrical, yet its not too simple. Its emotional, but its not slushy. Its near perfect. |

I've been trying to understand what this song means for a while, and i still can't get my head round it. I think there's definitely a non trust element in there somewhere, but the witches line makes little sense, and "the midget is frigid" is just vergeing on ridiculous. I do love Biffy, but i'm not sure this song really does anything for them. |
