I think this song is obviously about drug addictions, and how alone and isolated you can feel. "Many faces at the doorway all hang round Watch me fighting in the hallway but make no sound So I'm standing all alone and I'm only skin and bone So many faces but they just look out for their own" and about how people take drugs to escape, mask their feelings, not have to deal with them, feel better about everything ect. "Valium said to me, I'll take you seriously And we'll come back as someone else". amazing song. reallly |

i agree with krw. after watching the video it gave me a totally different idea on what the songs about. Like for example when he gives her his necklace at the end that he took of the soldier. It was most likely her boyfriend and he was telling her he died. And the part when he says " but when it is quiet I know what it means and I'll carry you home." He's probebly had to tell familes, wifes, girlfriends before that there husband has died while he was serving in the army. This song makes me cry |
