It's interesting to me that it's immediately assumed to be a Christian view, although with the line 'heirs of grace', I can understand some of that. It definitely has a (not-subtle) feeling of 'while out in the vastness of space, I felt God.' Although, it's pretty non-specific as to which face or what religion. It hits me on a more fundamental level than any particular one. But in any event, this is a beautiful song that I listen to when I've had a really bad day and need cheering up. It's peaceful. |
