i think this is about a girl whose best guy friend, who has always been there for her, realizes that she's slowly turning into a whore, or he just realized that she is one, and now he's saying that "your panic falls on deaf ears" cause he's always been there to help her, but now she's taken advantage of him, so now she's become someone she would hate, if she saw her self now a couple months ago. and he's done all he can do, he has to get out, before she gets to him too.

i just broke up with the best boyfriend i ever had, for no reason, except for that he's too old, and he comes over all the time, and were still friends, and its harder and "the longer i lay here, i know it's harder to get up without you" but at the same time i dont think i was good enough for him to begin with, so "call it karma" that i get perfection, and it's still not good enough for me.

i love this song, and i cant believe more people don't like it, i can relate to this song, because like me, i think that his life used to be great, but then he realized that he had been blind to so many things, then it seemed that everything was going wrong, and just when he think he had narrowed down to the few friends he actually had, one of his closest only friends left, hurt him, and he's given up.

if you've ever seen the video it makes it look liked she was raped. her parents come into her room and they have there coats on, like there about to leave, (personally i think they die in a car accident) then they let go of the little girls hand signifying there leaving. when you see the woman getting dragged into the room, she's at a mental hospital. when the girls parents leave, a man comes in and i think he's the one who raped her, later his hands are covered in coal, to show everything he's touched, (some hand prints are on the girl) then a angel, comes in and starts fighting with the man, i think the angel signifies her parents spirits or its her guardian angel. then the feathers fall and she's free again. so this song could be about suicide and that might be why she was in the mental hospital, but i think she was raped. |
