| Bright Eyes – Four Winds Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Conor is one of the best poets ever. He also IS trying to promote a message with all of his music, that's why his music is so political. But as well as being political, it's also insightful into human consciousness. |

| The Jimi Hendrix Experience – Hey Joe Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| "old lady" was a degrading term for women of sexual interest in the 70's | |
| Steve Miller Band – The Joker Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| "picker" refers to picking a guitar. | |
| Radiohead – Karma Police Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| To me, this song is simply an indictment on the world community for their blatant disregard for anyone's feelings and needs but their own. The "Karma Police" part is probably a satirical look at America as the center of moral purity. I believe it is definitely deeper than the lyrics suggest. | |
| Flobots – Stand Up Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
eriequiet... It is fairly disturbing that you are judging people's innocence without even knowing them. It just shows that our country is going in the wrong direction. I do not support the acts of dictators and terrorists, I just believe there are far more effective ways than killing innocent people. And yes, they are innocent. |

| Phil Collins – In The Air Tonight Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I do not believe that this song is about an actual drowning. It is obviously symbolism for an emotionally tragic event in his relationship. Nevertheless, the rumors surrounding the song are actually good for it. It adds a kind of dark artistic aura over the song, which in turn makes it more appealing. |

| Green Day – Jesus of Suburbia Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
All of you talking about how it's such a great song need to listen to Moonage Daydream by David Bowie. It will then become clear that the first part of the song was completely copied from that song. GREEN DAY SUCKS!!! They can't write music. |
|
| Green Day – Brain Stew Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Listen to the song by Chicago called 25 Or 6 To 4, then compare it to this one, then you'll see how Green Day "writes" their songs | |
| The Doors – Waiting For The Sun Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
To CHAKA's post. Sure it's a great lyric, but the best of all time? You must not listen to very much music. |
|
| Led Zeppelin – Babe I'm Gonna Leave You Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This is the epitome of an acoustic song you can rock out to. Zeppelin just "has it". I'm not sure what "it" is but they sure as hell have "it". | |
| The Cranberries – Zombie Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
My band (Pitch Red) is covering this song and it gives me chills every time we play it. It's just one of those songs that is so powerful, not only in lyrics, but also in melody. |
|
| Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
And to dafunk... Led Zeppelin didn't even write "When The Levee Breaks." It was a cover song. |
|
| Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
To me anyways, I think this song is about Heaven and Hell and the irony that your choices are what paves the path you take. But to all the people hating on this song... Yes it is over-played Yes it is over-rated But that is no reason to hate on one of the best epic rock songs ever. Hating this song is just the cool thing to say now-a-days. Anyone who says they hate it is probably just a poser. |

| We Are the Fury – Now You Know Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I can't believe I'm the first comment. This is like their most popular song. But yeah, I think it's about the Ohio (specifically Toledo) music scene is dead and they are the "hope". Great song, and it's true. They are one of the only good bands from toledo that is actually popular. |
|
| Mott The Hoople – All the Young Dudes Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
It's DEFFINATELY "news" not "nudes". But yeah, I feel this song not as an anthem of sexuality (since most glam artists were straight) but of rebellion. The reason they dressed glam was because it was taboo back then. Same with the New York Dolls, it was just a scene they were into. But yeah, it has such a good melody. I also like the way he drops the names of other bands like T.Rex and The beatles and stones. GREAT TUNE |

| The Killers – Jenny Was a Friend of Mine Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This song could be about rape. Not killing Jenny in a physical sense but killing her emotionally. But it is debated among most people whether the death in this song is literal or figurative. | |
| We Are the Fury – Venus Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I love this song!!! When we (Pitch Red) played with them this song was stuck in my head for the rest of the week. No lie. He's such a good lyricist www.myspace.com/pitchred |

| We Are the Fury – Still Don't Know Your Name Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Pretty obvious. He meets a girl at a bar, they have sex, he still doesn't know her name. | |
| We Are the Fury – Close Your Eyes Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I agree with the fact it is about a bad relationship. To me, the Don't Close Your Eyes might be about suicide and trying to prevent it. That's just what I get out of it. | |
| We Are the Fury – Nation, Forgive Us Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I love the part "You want to talk about indecision? Just take a look at all the Seminole lies." I believe it is talking about how the US treated the Native Americans when they came to this country. I agree with the other points about how it is about the new generation being mistreated. The Seminole part is showing that the old way wasn't that good either. By the way... My band played with these guys in concert. It blew my mind. www.myspace.com/pitchred (My band) |
