I'm glad AFI at least kept having anti religious lyrics, even though they're a pop band now. Their hardcore punk days were so much better, hell, even Decemberunderground was better than Crash Love. |

I think it's about the narrator thinking back at his time as a religious person. The fact that he never saw anything that could prove the religion to be true made him lose faith. |

I agree with afi23, I think it's anti-religious, which other AFI songs also appears to be.

It could be "his" (the person the song is about(possibly Davey)) mother who cries because he's not religious anymore. That's the first thing I thought about. |
