| Arcade Fire – Month of May Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| It's a outburst of frustration for the people who sit around waiting for things to happen instead of making it happen. | |
| Radiohead – Remyxamotosis (Christian Vogel mix) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
she gave me up for breakfast... great remix. |
| M83 – Couleurs Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| i'm that kid...woohooo!! | |
| Guillemots – Redwings Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| i always get the feeling of christmas when i hear this...someone that has been left on his own by someone he loves and seems to realise how much he misses that person during christmas! | |
| This Will Destroy You – Villa Del Refugio Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| this is so repetitive but it works! so simple but one of my favourites.. | |
| This Will Destroy You – Quiet Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| this song is proof that you don't need words to create a powerful, emotional song. it's so sad and i love it. | |
| Crystal Castles – Black Panther Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| disgusting and beautiful... | |
| Kings of Leon – Closer Lyrics | 17 years ago |
it's two thousand years relating to how we've been exhausted and ruined from chasing God and Christ for so long, looking for answers and to be guided. we're yet to find the right way of living. i can't analyse the complete lyrics of this song. what i love about KOL is that they have one or two striking lines in a number of their songs which stays in your mind, and is unique and different to every listener... |
| The Fray – Trust Me Lyrics | 17 years ago |
you need me less than i need you... :( |
| This Will Destroy You – Happiness: We're All In It Together Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| agreed | |
| Coldplay – Cemeteries of London Lyrics | 17 years ago |
anyway... must say that i disagree with somethings and can sense a definite radiohead influence, but people should stop criticising (sorry, i can't spell either!) them for that. never thought that anyone could pull out an album that could come close to be compared with the unique quality that radiohead produce. but finally i think coldplay have created something beautiful here, and VLV is a massive step forward for colplay... |

| Radiohead – The Amazing Sounds of Orgy Lyrics | 17 years ago |
don't want to make you sick... but i read a drama once about a father who sexually abused his innocent young daughter. and this song fits in with the story for me. i don't think that this was the intended story from Yorke, and i really hope not to be honest! but it does have an amazingly disgusting eerie feel to it that makes me relate it to that story. 'i want to see you smile again...' 'so glad you're mine' you can see the father lookin down on her. 'sorry is not good enough' this is her punishment... sorry if i've ruined the song for anyone!! |
| Kings of Leon – Charmer Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i agree that its about lust. as you can see in his emotion in the video...this charmer is someone he really shouldn't be checking out, and it drives him completely mad. its all written perfectly, bass, drums, guitar and vocals all seem to be going in the same direction but on a different route which makes it outstanding. shines on the album with mcfearless! |
| Explosions in the Sky – What Do You Go Home To Lyrics | 17 years ago |
the title leads me to think of a person having nothing that attracts him back home (wife, comfort, kids, company, happiness) which is really a sad thing!! |
| Explosions in the Sky – The Birth and Death of the Day Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| i like to listen to this song on top of a mountain when the sun is setting... | |
| This Will Destroy You – I Believe In Your Victory Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this is a beautiful song which i can relate to any emotion.. but mostly hope. the title 'i believe in your victory' is very suitable as you can feel a sense of encouragement to achieve. and when the final top note is reached, always seems to bring a tear to the eye! lovely band. |
| Bloc Party – Sunday Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I agree that it is very similar to smokers outside... don't agree as much about maps, but can see what you mean. all three are great songs all the same! anywaaays, this one... these are the kind of love songs that should be written more often! great lyrics. again really specific in the verses as always by bloc party but which makes it a bit more unique. it's about the most important thing in life really isn't it? that private kind of happiness, absolutely priceless. head on my chest, and at the climax in the end its as if he explodes with love. i'll love you in the morning...it means so much to know that when you wake up after a heavy night, looking like shit, i won't care, i'll still love you.. it's special! am i cheesy or what?! weeeheeey!! |
| Bloc Party – Waiting for the 7:18 Lyrics | 17 years ago |
one thing i love about this album is... when writing lyrics, the best ones are always the ones which are really open where everyone could relate and make their own meaning to the music... or... you could do the complete oppossite and be really specific which is what bloc party have done on this album and that's what i love cause it all seems to be personal experiences that have touched them put down in words. you can't make that stuff up, so i just try and imagine this beautiful January day when it was 07.18 o' clock! its hard to relate, but its a lovely picture that has been drawn by the words. |
| Radiohead – You and Whose Army? Lyrics | 17 years ago |
to give it another meaning...just for laughs...this is the way i feel it when i listen. you can have a go at the president, prime minister, the big boys or whatever, but i think that this song is aimed at the narrator. try singing this song facing a mirror and tell yourself you're perfect..won't work! i think its a lesson for everyone to stop being so up themselves and stop having a pop at everyone else an try and sort yourself out first. i'm in no way slagging thom yorke off by the way! anyway... 'you forget so easy' - that somethings are your fault and that you can't blame it on everyone else. its a lesson, to come back down to earth about yourself. that's my view! |
| Explosions in the Sky – The Moon Is Down Lyrics | 17 years ago |
an incredibly beautfiul song, also surprised that it isn't talked about more. more surprised that the band 'This Will Destroy You' isn't getting the attention they deserve! check them out! don't really no much about them, but the emotion in their songs is...waaaw! |
| Sigur Rós – Gong Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this song is unique, and although i don't like to put lyrics to it, as it is more of an emotion than simple words, but here's my view! but i listened to this song after finding the hurtful truth about a lover i had, and i've felt since then that in the build up to the climax of the song, Jonsi is saying... 'you don't, you don't, you don't... you liar.' as if saying that the person is lying when saying that they love you, which is a depressing view. but the magic about sigur ros is that they help you to find out more about yourself by listening to them and i see myself learning more and becoming to know myself better and deeper by listening to this band. any opinions? am i talking complete crap or can anyone relate to what i say!? |
