I definitely think it's about religion, lines like: "I will lift you above their crying world" "Into your heart comes the love of fear/Your vanity, your sanctity/Your kindless heart "Your reverance. Your ignorance/The genocide, the parasites/The kingdom of the ghost" definitely chime for organised religion in my opinion. The only lines that throws me is "Can't let your mind be tainted/By the praying men" - to me that seems like the oppostie of what I think the rest of the song is saying ... anyone know what this line is referring to? |

Nick, in Italian "della" is used as an abbreviation for "de la" because it's quicker to say. There's a lot of this squashing-together of words in Italian. I agree that the song's probably about the Sirens, "Catch the drifters by" and "Men fall too her song" give it away. |
