| this song is about all the feelings that go through your head the first time you really have a crush on someone. for people who have already gone through that and grown up, it's kind of hilarious. because no, you won't go crazy if you can't get with that cute boy who you can't stop thinking about. and he probably won't love you too one day, and even if he does, what are the chances that this will make all your dreams come true? but everyone's felt this way before so we can appreciate the song even when we're older than the preteen target audience. | |

ok, i saw all the comments from people who think this song is about going to extreme measures to make sure someone loves you, and i made an account just so i can say what it REALLY means, because that's not right... yes, at first glance, it appears that this is what the song is about. but if you think about it that way, it's really creepy and almost manipulative. that's not what the song actually means. sometimes we want to to crazy stuff (like faking our own suicide) to prove that someone else loves us, but what if they don't? or if they DO, isn't there an easier way to find out? this song is REALLY saying that you shouldn't try stuff like that. either they love you or they don't, but you should accept things the way they are. once you realize this, suddenly the song isn't creepy at all, just sad, sweet, and peaceful. |
