This is a cry out to God. He acknowledges Gods existence. This song to me is asking God why. He wonders why he "set my world into motion" He also wants to believe that God is loving in the sense that he is "there" (if your not really there) he wants to believe in gODS LOVE Also look at the fact that Sam Sparro grew up extremely christian and his father is a minister |

| Every one listen- Yes songs reflect the attitude of the writers but this is a poem-a short story if you will. It IS about a person who has lost their family (or entire race) through this trauma she (I assume it is a she) is alone, without anyone from her community to identify with, (our social habitats shape us) therefore the fictional "writer" is focusing on all of the sins they have committed and no longer want to live because they have no hope, going home (most likely killing themsleves) so they can rejoin with the lost loved ones. This aspect of the song is proved by the music video, when at the interlude(I think that is what it's called) they show the girl over looking a land of a thousand grave sites. | |
