Aerosmith – What Kind Of Love Are You On? Lyrics 16 years ago
Heard this on the radio just now, and I always thought it was "what kind of /lover you are/" until the DJ said the name of the song. Pretty sad since I was in high school when Armageddon came out. *lol*

Lucas – Lucas With the Lid Off Lyrics 17 years ago
Okay, the meaning is obvious, right?
Still, I suppose everyone has forgotten this song, since there's no comments. Which is very sad, it's fabulous at getting you up and moving! And catchy as all get-out.
This was once stuck in my head for months, honestly.

Ministry – Dead Guy Lyrics 17 years ago
I always thought it was just a big F.U. to backstabbers and other two-faced asshats, not criminal stabbings. Although that also makes sense.

I agree, Havana, I don't think this album gets enough credit. It's still in constant rotation on my playlists and I brought this back in '97 after a friend recommended it.

The Mission – Daddy's Going To Heaven Now Lyrics 17 years ago
Indeed it is, tru!

I just re-acquired this song after my cd was stolen about eight years ago, and I just noticed the kids during the intro are singing "Yes, Jesus Loves Me."
I got shivers.

Maybe not so much bad taste in music, but the song speaks for itself IMO.

Disturbed – Numb Lyrics 17 years ago
I must be the only person in the world that thinks this is about abuse!

Long-term abuse, whether physical or psychological, tends to "shut down" a person's emotions. And it's pretty well documented that severe abuse can cause the sort of problems seen in rapists, killers, etc. So I see someone who's been abused (you created this rift within me), is getting better (I want this/more than you know/I need this/give it back to me!), and is now extremely pissed at the perpetrator and seeking revenge (the hunting/stalking part). But no matter how functional the victim becomes, the seed of abuse and hatred is always there waiting to surface (I can feel it ripping and tearing, feeding and growing inside of me).

But, as an abused kid, I see this everywhere. Heh. *shrug*

311 – Purpose Lyrics 18 years ago
Does anyone know what the guy in the background is saying after the "yeah"s? I think I knew the first time I had this album (1996), but I just got it again after it was stolen from me a long time back and now I can't make it out.
