Relient K – At Least We Made It This Far Lyrics 17 years ago
I do like this song very much. (: it's just so hopeful and makes me think that there's always a brighter future and that even so there are rough spots and times when you're really scared something bad might happen you can pull through and survive.

City and Colour – Comin' Home Lyrics 17 years ago
I love this song and it just popped into my head a few minutes ago. I really feel connected to it now; my "boything," as everyone else refers to him, stayed with me for a week recently, the longest we've ever been together nonstop (and we don't see each other too often since he lives 100 miles away and neither of us can easily get to the other). Usually I'm the one leaving him at the end of the day, since I usually drive to see him, but this time he left me. And now I'm waking up and it's weird not seeing him right when I wake up, and not feeling his arms around me and his warmth, or smelling his cologne when I enter the room.

Now that he is gone again. I have this overwhelming feeling that I need to go back to him. I'm not home without him here, and he even said that he would much prefer to "come home" to me soon instead of stay where he is now.

Similarly, I've also driven on the highway without a place to go hoping somehow I'd appear in his town. Impossible, yes, but sometimes you hold onto that hope that somehow distance will be changed.

Her Space Holiday – Sleepy Tigers Lyrics 17 years ago
This song makes me so hopeful for things to change and for the future and for distance of all kinds to be bridged at one point sooner or later. It's so refreshing to hear him singing such a hopeful tune.

This song is completely what I'm going through right now in so many ways.

Gary Jules – Mad World (Tears for Fears cover) Lyrics 17 years ago
This song is absolutely beautiful and embodies feeling so alone and lost that all you want to do is disappear, and everyone has felt that way at one point.

Page France – Rhythm Lyrics 17 years ago
This song is amazing and beautiful. I'm not sure about the meaning of the whole song, but I love the lines:
Oh a heart is a pocket for loose change
We scrape and we save and we wait for a raise
To me they mean that we all take what love we can get and save it up with hungry fingers. But, we're never quite satisfied and never well off like that, so we wait for that "one love" to come along and fulfill the needs we have.

Fly Upright Kite – Untitled #7 Lyrics 17 years ago
Why are there no comments! This song is fucking amazing. I cried the first time I listened all the way through and now I can't stop listening to it.

His voice is divine and this is just something that everyone can relate to. Especially where someone, even if they don't feel the same way anymore, will still try and make you happy and lie a little bit to get your to happy.

Ahh, I meant to type questioning, not contemplating. They need an edit button.

Underoath – The Only Survivor Was Miraculously Unharmed Lyrics 17 years ago
I'm still contemplating whether he's singing "I hate that I'm contemplating; you're everything" (two separate statements) or if he's singing "I hate that I'm questioning your everything" (one statement).

The first would imply that he's upset that he has doubts; his faith is true and there's nothing bigger in life than faith.

The second would imply that he's questioning everything about his faith and questioning everything regarding what he believes in; everything might be a lie and everything he may have been living for has been false.

Underoath – Too Bright to See, Too Loud to Hear Lyrics 17 years ago
I absolutely love this song. Listened to it once and immediately fell in love. I adore the more mellow sound underoath has in some songs.

"Good God, can you still get us home?
How can we still get home?
I’m not dreaming;
We’re forgetting our forgiveness."

Must be one of my favorite lines at the moment, even after listening to the album through only twice.

The New Amsterdams – Drinking In The Afternoon Lyrics 17 years ago
I absolutely love this song. I have the demo version and it's just as amazing.
It can be related to a lot of things other than just the breakup, though. It can be tied to going off to college, or moving, or the end of really any type of relationship. I think the versatility and simplicity of this song is something that makes it really amazing.

Northstar – American Living Lyrics 17 years ago
This is by far my favorite song on the new album.

I'm mainly in love with the verse that starts with "Hey Mr. Destiny." That whole feeling of being left behind in life, not knowing where to go, where you are going, or whether or not to wait for something to come your way. I just think it's something everyone can relate to and it holds a special place in my heart since I've always felt that way.

Box Car Racer – There Is Lyrics 17 years ago
this has been one of my favorite song since i got the BCR CD when it came out.

It makes me cry now, though. But I still love it. It just always reminds me that I'm never the only one feeling the way I do. There's always someone else.

As Tall as Lions – Kickin' Myself Lyrics 17 years ago
this song is so good. i hadn't really paid any attention to it until it just came on random on my itunes and i was like "WTF LOVE." I can just relate to it at the moment so it reallllly hit me.

To me it's just about how you had a relationship with someone that seemed perfect, but you're starting to think it went bad. And you feel so insufficient and so insignificant for one reason or another. so you begin to tell yourself you don't need that person since they don't need you.

Bright Eyes – Hot Knives Lyrics 17 years ago
"I’m a cartoon, you’re a full moon, let’s stay up"

I absolutely adore this song. I can't turn it off, can't skip it, can't even have bright eyes come on anymore without wanting to hear it.

Something about it makes me want to listen again and again. It's just... so good.

Metro Station – Seventeen Forever Lyrics 18 years ago
I agree with artoonie.

I think it's about two people who are both underage. But the girl will be turning 18 soon and sex would be illegal for a while so they can "get away with it" at the moment, but not later. It's just their morals keepings them apart ["One mistake from being together"].

I don't know, that's just how I interpret it.

My Favorite Highway – The Worst Way To Retaliate Lyrics 18 years ago
"Wide awake, you keep me up in bed,
I've got a hundred different things running through my head,
It's hard to fall asleep when all your dreams are dead."

"Don't hesitate to say you need some space
Well it seems that you have found somebody else to replace
The melancholly feeling that I have to embrace."

I love those lines sososo much. The first I just love. I can't really relate so much, but I still love those lines. And the second: they're just lines that everyone can relate to after some type of "drama" between friends that may leave one person behind for a while.

Young Love – Underground Lyrics 18 years ago
These are the lyrics I hear:

4, 5, 6...

Tell me are you finally gone?
You have been here for too long.
I've been so much happier
Since you've gone and disappeared

Tell me, are you coming home?
Life's been empty since you've gone
Put me through the worst in life
I beg for truth but still you lie
You ruin me but still I try
I hope you're gone for food this time

Tell me, are you coming home?
Life's been empty since you've gone
It's like living underground
It's like living underground
It's like living underground
It's like living underground

What do you do on the weekends?
Hope to god you haven't found anyone
What do you do on the weekends?
Hope to god you haven't found anyone
What do you do on the weekends?
Hope to god you haven't

Little boat without a sail
In the middle of the ocean

Tell me, are you coming home?
Life's been empty since you've gone
It's like living underground
It's like living underground
It's like living underground
It's like living underground
It's like living underground
It's like living underground

As for the meaning? I think it's about someone who believed they would be better off without someone they know. But once that someone leaves they realize how much they need that person, how that person is like a sun to them, and without them there is constant darkness. Even if the sun burns, you still need it in your sky.

Actually, the line was "should I fuck someone up."

Love everything by Dan Keyes.
