| Strike Anywhere – You're Fired Lyrics | 15 years ago |

I think this songs about the oppression of capitalism "wasted sweat", "bosses rise while people fall", "our labor's lost" it seems to make sense. "with freedom stains upon our hands" - It seems like by continuing to work/labor in the system and conditions we're in we're killing our freedom. "patriots to comfort delusional " - Being oppressed continuously will leave you confused about the system and where you stand. The only reassurance you get is from those elite who stand behind the oppressive system in full force and tell you "this is what's right and this is what works" "and when was the first time it stuck your heart with fear was it worth it to salute the culture that takes the life out of us" - this part seems to me like someone realizing that they are being oppressed by capitalist society and looking back at the dedication they once had to it realizing it was never worth it "lift up our souls in union" - sounds like an anarchist call for equality and solidarity "Inside us there's a nation hidebound and unaware A people's insurrection of the soul to kill despair" - Deff. seems like his parts about the revolution |
