hmmm oookie dokie so we've decided... basically... that this song is NOT about jesus. i mean even when you watch the music video, it's got chicks in it lol. not jesus. and i think that it's about him loving a girl a lot... and just my opinion... when you are nervous and really like someone, sometimes you wanna [not to sound gross] throw up. that's embarrassing though, right? lol. he's so in love and stuff, and he's tying this weird fear of throwing up [emetophobia] in with his feelings for the girl... not that he wants to throw up because of her, but because of nervousness. well that's my opinion... ask josh dies what the song means lol! if you really wanna know! :]

i understand what you are saying about a metaphor of our relationship with God, though it's hard to explain. we are like racecars, kinda out of control and stuff, and it is saying that God can take control. might sound kinda confusing compared to the song, but just listen to the song and read the lyrics and you might see where i'm going with this.

This song is about how God loves us so much, but we don't love him back as much as we should, truthfully. "What are you man if you do not learn love..." that question is answered by the song title, "Simply Nothing." We are nothing without love, and we would be nothing without God's love. :] Beautiful song!!!
