I think ggaaoo is correct in his proposal that the song is about ecstasy… “Colours are what keep me alive Colours I want to hold in my hand Colours are where my, my old makes new Colours are where my, my brain finds blue” It is well known that when a person takes ecstasy in excess, they gradually experience waves of depression or the “blues for the brain” as Hot Chip would put it. But alas, it is just my opinion. I might be over-analyzing the song. It could merely be about colors…hell, everyone loves colors. I read an article about Alexis Taylor in a Rolling Stone magazine recently…it mainly just commented on his strange choice in clothing and said little about the music he produced…ugh. I HOPE EVERYONE BOUGHT THEIR MOST RECENT C.D. |
