this song is amazing and i can relate to it completely. the past few years i've dated mainly two guys, and both were jerks. i had been lying to myself the whole time i was dating them. and now, i have made a few realizations and i decided that i deserve better! i'm not settling for anything anymore. and that is exactly what this song means. she's "had enough so-so" and she's not settling anymore. the line "find what it means to be the girl, who changed her mind and changed the world" is definitely the best part of the song. its about standing up for what you deserve. no one is happy just settling, so dont! |

I dont think they are still in the relationship. I think that it just ended. She is saying that it started out as perfect and didnt end so good. He quit talking to her, he quit telling her things... "I start a fight, cause I need to feel something.." And she is saying that he is blocking her out of his life and she is trying to find a way back in, she is trying to fix things, and not seeing what is right in front of her... "you put up walls and paint them all a shade of gray. and i stood there loving you and wished them all away" This really is an amazing song and I can completly relate because this is exactly what I went through not too long ago. |
