| Alesana – Better Luck Next Time, Prince Charming Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
its about a guy who loses his girl to a jackass... a false "prince charming" who is the knight in shining armor but in reality he will just let her down(not all knights in shining armor can make your dreams come true) the guy just needs to show his girl his feelings and he can save her. |

I think it sounds like "You can save her now, she's going to the guillotine" |

| Akissforjersey – Oh, Infamous City Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
FIRST: the way you typed out these lyrics pisses me off SECOND: when i hear "infamous city" i think of Sodom and Gomorrah from the bible... two cities that were destroyed by god for their sin. IMO this song is about society's lack of faith. |

| Emarosa – Set it off Like Napalm Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
i think this song has something to do with jonny's relationship with his old band (dance gavin dance) its been said that jonny was/is really bad with drugs... perhaps since he got booted from the band he has since changed his life around. "Out of place, put him down, hes all strung out." - in that line, i see a direct reference to jonny and DGD. he is out of place with the band and he's strung out from partying and drugs so they released him. "Oh god, please open your eyes, Its time to finalize, Let's make this now or never, Set it off and let it burn." - here i see a connection with jonny realizing that he's been given a second chance with a new band, emarosa. he needs to finalize his lifestyle and get his shit together. so that they can "set it off and burn" and make great music :) if jonny has in fact turned his life around, i will have MUCH respect for him and in turn i will GREATLY appreciate his music. for now, i like emarosa, but i feel i will never embrace them until i know their members are morally intact. (everyone makes mistakes but there comes a time to grow up) |

| its about leading by example, not by words, and in doing so we will welcome those back who have lost their way | |
| UFO – Mother Mary Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
its not about religion itself, i think this song is about standing firm with your beliefs in general. some people might laugh at what you believe in (like freedom or somethin.... doesnt have to be religious) and all the jokers (people with different views) laugh at you. mothers have had experience so they are firm in their beliefs, but babies are young and impressionable so they can be brought up to believe anything. at least thats what i get out of it.... |

| Agraceful – The Sons of Saints Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think this song is about lack of faith and false Christians. I might be wrong. The first and second verses are about being brought up without a foundation and without any convictions or moral compass. (i.e"Being claimed at the sinners hands") The chorus is about dealing with the fact that just because you say you are a Christian does not mean you will be saved. How can you be saved if all you do is sin? To be a REAL Christian you have to imitate Jesus' love and be an all-around good person. |

| hahahaha this song rocks | |
| The Devil Wears Prada – Rosemary Had An Accident Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| One of my favorite songs: to me it's about how a specific person wronged him and played him for a fool, until he realized the false pretense of it all and turned it around. I can sense the anger in the opening lyrics but there's not any hatred within them; they're just an affirmation. | |
| Emarosa – Casablanca Lyrics | 18 years ago |

This Is Your Way Out is about Revelations So this song is about the end of the world, much like the rest of the album |

| Emarosa – Pretend. Release. The Close Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
We'll face these lies, All this ???, for you. To me, it sounds like: "We'll face these lies, all this wine now, for you" .. Hold your hands to the sky, ?Don't let it by, I lied? "Hold your hands to the sky, only by, a line" (maybe lie) .. Oh, and "We all suffer from insecurities" should be singular. (insecurity) |
|
| Emarosa – Pretend. Release. The Close Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I also doubt that blow means "cocaine". I think blow is in reference to a hit, which is a metaphor to being hit by a surprise. (ex. personal issues, relationships, etc.) | |
| Emarosa – Pretend. Release. The Close Lyrics | 18 years ago |

This breath won't be his last, ?The dreams have died? The actual lyrics are: "This breath won't be his last, for she's alive" |

| The Number Twelve Looks Like You – Alright, I Admit... It Was A Whore House Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
jasonbaroni has a point, this is about the change of the relationship. Today, IMO, an act as simple as a kiss has no emotional attachment. People get drunk, hook up afterwards, and that's that... "No reason to fret, just turn around and walk away." the nice dinner used to be a romantic effort but now its just part of the sex routine (sometimes) "Down under there's a devil, and no one notices." I love that line. I don't know what #12's views on ethics are and stuff, but I like to interpret that line as people in this society have become so undisciplined, they don't know right from wrong. But then again, right and wrong is in the eye of the beholder, right? |

| The Number Twelve Looks Like You – The Weekly Wars Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I think this song is about someone who follows the crowd, reluctantly, instead of doing their own thing. "These impure thoughts lead to soulless action" |
|
| Oh, Sleeper – To Flagship Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I agree with thegreatdistress. To me this song is about getting back on track with God, turning the vessel back to Flagship, and earning your life. |

| The Devil Wears Prada – Number Three, Never Forget Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
This is about turning your back on faith, doing whatever the hell you want, and disregarding any fragments of any conscious, moral thought. It's about compromising your doctrines, beliefs, and ideas that make you unique and selling yourself to a culture of immoral absolution. a.k.a. society as we know it today |
