two words: long distance. well at least, that's how i see it. she doesn't want to get into a long distance relationship, so she's waiting till the time they can meet and move in together. it will be "worth the wait" it could mean a lot, but that's just my situation that i'm in right now, so i relate this song to that. |

i agree with some of the people on here that it DOESN'T have to be about a guy. it could be about ANYTHING destructive and addicting. like, i relate it to cutting, because i'm dealing with that type of addiction right now. for some it could very well be a boy, or bulimia, or whatever. interpret it how you want. |

| i think kaeeotic needs to take a walk in a self injurers shoes before he/she says things like that. people don't cut themselves to be "emo", to get attention, to be pathetic, to get people to feel sorry for them, etc. it's a cry for help because they just have so much things going on emotionally for them and they don't have the right coping skills to handle it. cutting is an addiction, just like drugs and alcohol. i love this song, but i hate hearing people like this say these things about people who cut themselves. you asshole. | |

this is the most perfect song for what i'm going through at the moment. i absolutely love this song, and this is how i interpret it: She likes him. A LOT. he may, or may not, like her back. regardless, she is falling so fast for this guy, and it's killing her to keep all of her feelings bottled up, so she tells herself she has to tell him how she feels. but, everytime the perfect opportunity comes up to talk to him and to be with him, she freezes up, and lets it's slip by. then, she feels heavily burdened by it all. It crushes her emotionally because when people like someone a lot, but it's not going anywhere and they don't know how to express their feelings or when to say the things they need to say, they feel exactly like this. i know i have. and you probably have too. beautiful song. |

ok so i hate how people say it's "self-explanatory" because this is SONGMEANINGS.NET. so say what you think it means, regardless of whether it's obvious or not. so here's my opinion......this guy, really likes this girl. he wants to "investigate" a relationship with her and see how it works out. He's saying: "why not give us a shot. our relationship could be perfect, so why stay lonely when we could have each other." |
