Chiodos – The Undertaker's Thirst for Revenge Is Unquenchable (The Final Battle) Lyrics 16 years ago
First off, Chiodos is my favorite band and they are fucking amazing.
Second, did anyone notice that Craig has "All the world's a stage" tattooed
across his chest?
Third, this song could mean many different things.
It very well could be about God and Satan, Satan standing alone in the world,
his eyes to the sun completly blind, telling lies about God. And God trying to win the
world back. But some of it doesn't make sense with that interpretation, yes I am a Christian,
so bug off about what I'm about to say. It says "I've given up on the entire human race" and God wouldn't do that. Plus it says he's feeling guilty and talks about memories they once had.
Therefore it could be about a relationship, that maybe he made some mistakes that he feels
guilty for and his lover didn't forgive him for it. She turned her eyes to the sun and she's told everyone, all of their friends what he did, turning them against him. And now all he has to do is bathe in the words said about him.

I don't know that's what I got out of the song, once again they're amazing and Crag's voice is like none other in the world. He really knows how to capture you in the song and make you feel what he's singing.

Chiodos – Bulls Make Money, Bears Make Money, Pigs Get Slaughtered Lyrics 16 years ago
You're all wrong about the translation.
It's talking about Romeo and Juliet "did my heart love until now cause i feel as though
i've never seen beauty till this night" That's exactly what Romeo said to Juliet the first night he met her.

"you're wearing your skin like it's too tight." Juliet was only 13, yet she had so many responisibilites, she could never just breathe. It's when he's trying to convince her to kiss him.

"in a world where every girl wants to be a model
what's wrong babe? did daddy not give you enough attention." In a world back then every girl was to be the perfect "model" not necessarily a model model. But a model to society. Did daddy not give you enough attention? No he didn't actually, the family was very distant, very prideful, all she was good for was marrying and having children.

"take back what's mine. just leave me in it
and everything that i believe in.
shes shaking. shes shaking. please act surprised.
shes shaking. shes shaking. please act surprised.
shes shaking. shes shaking. please act surprised.
shes shaking. shes shaking."

Take back what's his, everything he believes in, his name, his role as a Montague, for her.

She's shaking, she's scared. She's never loved before and it's forbidden.
Or does it say sinking? I'm really not sure, but if so she's dying?

"and after all; with that takes some pride be the one that she is installs.
and after all; we were infinite for a moment
and after all; we were infinite for a moment
and after all; we were infinite for a moment"

They were infinite for a moment, but they still have pride because they died together.

That's what I got from the song anyway.
I turned it into my language arts teacher when we were studying Romeo and Juliet and I got extra credit XD

The Secret Handshake – Nothing Much Lyrics 17 years ago
I think it's about a boy questioning his relationship, but he's not sure if he is right or not cause he overthinks things and worries too much. He refers to the relationship as a game, always haveing to watch your back and play your cards right. In the end I think he just wants to end it before she does so he can stop worrying about it all the time.

Chiodos – Deserving An Explanation Lyrics 18 years ago
this seam is splitting, torn apart. lacerations from the thoughts of you. - he is disgusted by the thought of her

choking me, your words shoved down my throat. and i'm still bleeding from our first kiss. - everything she said was a lie that he just ate up because he didn't want to believe the truth, but in the end he found out it was all a facade and was hurt even more.

the taste so painful i'm forced to clench my fists. - Her lies are painful but he has to clench his fists and deal with it or face the truth.

every time you turn around,
you'll feel my presence. - hm, hard to say, maybe that she is going to feel guilty about lieing to him and start to feel his presence everywhere she goes?

and when you glance up at the stars.
everyone will be crashing down on you, whoa, - she is going to look to the stars for help but the reality is that all of her lies are going to come crashing down on her

you'll see me, the sky, calling out your name.
and yet for some reason, I still absent mindedly come back for more. - she'll see him calling out her name in the middle of all her lies and feel guilty and he can read the guilt on her face but he still doesn't want to believe so he keeps coming back for more.

maybe someday I'll realize that this storm will someday pass me by. - He is saying he is the sky and she is the storm and he is saying maybe someday he'll be able to accept what is happening and let her go.

you'll pass me by
you'll see me, the sky, calling out your
you'll call your name. - he is going to let her go and in the end she will be left alone calling out her own name in desperation.

Hm, I may be wrong, but I thought it made pretty good sense and no one had yet given a meaning for this song even though this is songMEANINGS.net
