If you look at the EP cover btw, you can see "The Jester Race" in the background...
They've moved on from that.. They've enjoyed it, but they have grown into something bigger! Something more!

I agree with Lance on this one, completely.

So many of their fans have been bitching about how they miss the days of "The Jester Race" and "Whoracle"

Don't get me wrong, those albums are both great, but We, as their fans, need to support them! If everything they wrote sounded the same, would you really be their fans?

If we don't evolve and further what we have become, we'll be stuck in a rut, doing the same god damn, mindless nonsense everyday!

That's what "The Mirror's Truth" is about, It's about breaking away from the past, the routines, and the watchful eyes of others!

"You're Waiting for a Re-run, but yesterday won't come"
Move on, They're not going to revert to what they used to be, Accept it!
They need to play music for themselves, and those of us who enjoy it, and have liked them since "The Lunar Strain" and continue to do so, up until this point... We are the true fans of In Flames, Because just like the band, who are people too, We can move on, and evolve!

In Flames – The Mirror's Truth Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is about society and it's corruption...
You probably need to see the video to catch on to the larger hints but it's quite clear...

In the video is starts with the one thing sitting back and stuffing his face. He's in a place of luxury...
Then it cuts to a bunch of people working while being overwatched...

The song and video are about how we have become blind to what's happening around us.... We've grown ignorant to the fact that we work our asses off under the watchful eyes of the higher up.
Meanwhile, the rich sit back and get richer.

WE'VE IGNORED THE MIRROR'S TRUTH!

We can't stand to look straight at what we've become. "We aren't even trying"

We need to find a way to escape this and fight back against our oppressors... "Find the exit sign and disappear"...

Also in the video the workers start to revolt, and fight against those who watch them, and eventually kill what's at the top of the ladder, the root of the problem, or what looks like they're about to do so,

That, my friends, is what the song is about.
