The first time I listened to the CD and I heard this song it was kind of weird to me. Just because this was nothing like everything else on the album. It's an amazing song. It's kind of like the way I sort of feel about my ex girlfriend. It's basically about a guy who really misses his ex girlfriend and wants her to be happy with her new boyfriend, but at the same time doesn't..so he wants to die..he's realized he made a huge mistake and he's trying to show her that he's not the same. Unfortunately he's too late. |

I don't think it has to be about religion. I think it's more of a generalized thing. He doesn't agree with someone's beliefs..religiously or not. All of the references to "your God"...doesn't necessarily mean a religious God. It could simply be someone that the other person molds there beliefs after. And let the ripping apart of my theory commence. |

I agree with foArdo, however the two people knew each other it was so messed up it had to end..and it didn't end very well. And the singer gave everything he had..and he feels that the other person just took and took and didn't really try to reciprocate.

What an amazing song. A friend of mine was in an abusive relationship..and she had first heard this song..and she told me about it. I feel absolutely horrible for any girl whose in an abusive relationship. Even though this song is about personal abuse that some of the members of the band went through(if some of the comments from other people are true) it's still absolutely amazing. And I'm glad they had the courage to do that..I personally think that people absolutely need to hear this song..hopefully it can either stop a people from entering or staying in abusive relationships. Great song |

What an amazing song. When I first heard this song I liked it a lot..but it didn't have any real meaning to me. Now it does. This is a song that anyone can relate to. It's one of those that everyone goes through at least once in their life(or in my case multiple times). I don't think that this song is sarcastic at all..I see where the people who say that are coming from though. I think that this song is saying that the other person in the relationship was lying to them the entire time...and the person is scared to be alone again..but, they just don't care about this person the way that they though. But, that's just my interpretation. |

Wow I wasn't aware of the story behind this song. It's an amazing song though...it's just a great sad song. Pretty much everyone who has lost someone close to them can relate to this..I know I can. I've never seen this band live but, I would love to. I don't know how, if they even do, play this song live..but, I can guarantee that this song would be incredible live..all the passion that it would have. By the way love this band. |

I think this song is about someone, maybe parents, being disappointed in what there child does. The child is trying to figure out if he/she is just trying to make their parents see that what they're doing makes them is all an effort in vain. Great song and I'm probably wrong |

I kind of agree with what everyone else is saying about this song. This song is kinda like my life right now. To me this song is about pretending everything is alright, when you know nothing is ok. The chorus really sells that to me. "This isn't what you really are blindfolded through the hurt" To me at least this means that you know something is happening but you're intentionally making yourself unaware of it. But as the song progresses the person is starting to let go. "Empty still frames turning the page" maybe the person is looking at pictures and realizing that they're really gone.
