Oh, Sleeper – The Finisher Lyrics 14 years ago
Throughout the Bible God show his anger and his wrath upon evil. This song is God final destroying the source of the evil that runs through this world. In Revelation we see many accounts of the destruction that God will bring upon this world and Satan while he 're-builds.' I love the passion God shows, especially in the line:

"Because if that tree keeps them from seeing me
I will burn off your limbs and you will never shade again."

as well as:

"You will bow at my feet, or I'll rip out your knees,
and make of your face, all the carnage you crave."

They show how much God loves us; we are considered his children and what father does not fight off the one who is harming his children.

Oh, Sleeper – SON OF THE MORNING Lyrics 14 years ago
I think that doing this song in Satan's point of view was a great idea. As blody269 put, it wouldn't be nearly as powerful as it is without that. It helps to show us the passion and power that Satan has.

Haste the Day – Madman Lyrics 15 years ago
I don't think this song is about assisted suicide. I think the song is about Judas's struggles after betraying Jesus.

"To convalesce from empty sorrow, someone had to squeal" - Jesus needed to die and Judas was the one who had to betray Him.

"You said "I know."
I know it's not your fault" - Jesus basically tells Judas that He knows that Judas has betrayed Him and tells him to go do it. (Matthew 26)

"How much were you paid to sell out the madman?" - Judas sold Jesus to the Sanhedrin for 20 pieces of silver.

"The innocent will rest in the peace they've been given" - Judas muses that the innocent will find peace (salvation) which Jesus gives to us as a gift.

The song seems to be a lot of Judas dealing with his betrayal of Jesus and how he can't handle it anymore. This is by no means the only way to interpret it, but it think that is is at least somewhat the meaning that Haste the Day was going for.
