I recently wrote Jeff telling him how much I can relate to this song and how for six months I just got drunk and watched shows like "Lost" and then would drink more to fall asleep because I wouldn't even feel drunk by the middle of the day anymore, and I couldn't take thinking about this girl. He wrote me back, and said that's weird. But the song is about quitting drinking... I can still relate it to my situation but the song takes on a whole different meaning to realize it's about quitting drinking, it's not about not loving a girl anymore. I can also relate to it as quitting drinking though too, As the girl in my situation caused me to become an alcoholic, and I eventually stopped loving both of them, and realized i had to get back on the horse and grow up and move on. |
