| I really think this song is talking about OLP and music in general, in the first verse it says "You got style, but you ain't got soul" in OLP's earlier songs they had more "soul" but this song is more mainstream and "style" or beat, if you were to watch the video, you will notice all different forms of music around in the forms of sterotypes, there are rappers dancing, punks with their wild hair, cowboys square dancing, african americans with drums, and of course OLP, OLP is slandering themselves for becoming one of these mainstream styles | |

I hate to say this but you guys may be taking this too serious, I think this game is about video games, meaning Halo 3 and Call of Duty four as the main ones (although they were both published after this cd these games follow what I consider having big heros) Ok we start with: "Borderline dead inside I don't mind falling to pieces" Aren't all heroes in games like this, all of them have problems and then "I" don't mind falling to pieces meaning dying because I will get another life "count me in violent let's begin feeding the sickness how do I simplify? dislocate the enemies on the way" Let's start this game, beat it and hey why not kill a few enemies "show me what it's like to dream in black and white so I can leave this world tonight" I'm tired of my life and want more adventure "I'll be here fighting forever .... climbing to heaven nevermind turn back time you'll be fine I will be left behind " At some point and time the character will always be fighting, turn back time, meaning that don't worry I'm not dead, I'm just a couple minutes behind from when I was before and I will get left behind, this means to me that the game is always better when you have a struggle fighting when you're the only one well that's pretty much, I read once that Ben has a fairly good obsession with his Xbox and this seems to be the most logical interpretation for me |
