apparently you people dont understand why he is so "cocky" go read his biography. where he grew up if you showed any type of weakness you were beaten and often killed. plus he has a reason to be borderline confident/cocky, he is the best. right now he is putting out music that our generation has never been able to come close to. this man is a genius when it comes to putting together music. and so what if he samples a lot of his music? that just means he respects where the music that he's making came from and realizes that the music made back then was good stuff and he wants to use it. how many of you guys would have ever known throught the fire by chaka khan if you hadnt heard this song? |

this song was written by don henley after a dream he had about the state of affairs in L.A. around the late 60's. the group was on tour and they had to find one more song to complete their set. they were in the tour bus and they had about an hour until the show and were freaking out because they didnt want to disappoint their fans. henley was like guys last night i had this crazy dream and he told them about it and then in about ten minutes they put the lyrics to some music they had written a while ago an viola they had come up with hotel california |
