It isn't about a devil....it is the actual "strive for power" by hustlers, politicians, celebs and youth. Greed, lust and jealousy are just characteristics of "the game". I honestly think that connecting it with the devil is taking it too far....lupe is talking about how this thirst for "Power" have been around forever (the suckering of Adam and Eve to eat the apple and being able to be God-like by seeing which is wrong from right). "Speak every single language on the planet" ---> this means that "the game" is a part of the whole world and everybody is a subject to the reign of this inevitable feeling of becoming rich and gaining power. |

I think that the three kids mention at the beginning of the song matches up with the three verses..... 1) a child from africa 2) a child from the middle east 3) a child who owns a violent game like call of duty This song shows how bad it is that children from 6 -12 are involved in violent affairs because of corruption in gov't and rebel colonies.....Even though playing a video game and actually killing are totally different. Lupe also added the the kid with the war games because he is saying that being exposed to that is as worse as putting children in the war. Kids become accustomed to killing in video games that they do not see the reality and the effects it has on a person emotionally. Video games like this are spreading like fire......kids are learning at a very young age to plot attacks and strategies through online play where everything begins....the beginning of child soldiers in privileged homes |
