[I told you I was sorry. I told you I was wrong. I said it was an accident And don't tell anyone.] The first two paragraphs is about how she made a mistake, and he keeps harping on it. She just wants them to just forget about her mistake. [You lied about how much you knew. I thought you were my friend. You lied upon the mattress. C'mon tell me where you've been. You lied about this night apart. You lied about the room. If you're gonn have to lie to me, then Let's forget about it.] This chunk is about him lying to her about her infidelity. And she want to forget about this too -- but the "forget about it" this time is different from the previous one. This time, she knows he's lying, and if he insists on continuing to lie, she doesn't want to hear it. In other words, she sick and tired of it. [I'll stop crying, if you'll stop lying to me.] |

Ah, no, I don't think it's "about a girl in love with another guy but hes got a gf and she wants to tell him she loves him but she can't". Rather, it's just about a girl who's in love with a guy. [She can't tell me that all of the love songs have been written, 'cause she's never been in love with you before.] The 'she' here refers to a random singer/lyricist/person. The song is saying that this random 'she' cannot say all that because 'she' has never felt how it feels to be in love with THIS guy. [I'm trying to keep cool, but everyone here likes you I'm not the only one.] This line, I think, talks about this singer introducing the guy she loves to her friends, and she's relieved that everyone, not only she, likes him. [I want to kiss the back of your neck, the top of your spine where your hair hits, and gnaw on your fingertips and fall asleep, I'll talk you to sleep.] But yes, I love the details in this song! |
