For me its about those days where u lose hope with the world, and feel hopeless, because there are so many problems and where do we begin?! The 1st verse is like a realisation of oh dear, how'd we get this far, this bad, what are we doing, cant we just restart. The 2nd verse is explaining how she wants to use this song as a conveyor and spread a little love, begin to 'warm' the world up. I think she wants to just stop people in what theyre doin and think about it...why are we all goin around half killing each other, when we should be working together to remember our values and what is important, we're the only ones here, its no-one else's fault and no-one else has to deal with it but us! |

i think this song is quits plainly about when ur with sum1 and u can tell their hearts not really in it, ur in limbo. When ur feeling the other person u rwith/been with 4 while is obviously preoccupied and u know it but r still within the confines of the relationship, kinda half unknowing. a sad song |

i like this song even tho no ones commented!
i take it as a girl who likes a guy and really liked him, was willing to do things for him, make an effort but he was just stringing her along and couldnt fully commit...whether that be cos he is a player (sounds like it) or otherwise engaged.
She's basically saying look ive had enough now, even tho i did really like u, and wouldve gone all out 4 u, thats it, u are what u are and im done with it...in a its a shame sorta kickass way |

i love it from 3.10 its so moody, but even the instrumental inspires me, it so cool. the kinda reprise piano is beautiful. like it played at mny funeral. is that too dark?! LOL. it just amazing tho. i keep switching the track back to 3.05 to the thunderstorm then the piano.....wish i could play, esp as beautifully as this!!!!

it could either be a breakup thing whereby the guy is trying to be 'just friends' afterwards and sometimes thats the last thing u need, and she's disregarding his gesture as almost patronising 'friend what does that even mean?!'
It could also be in a situation where u seemingly both like each other and things are just beginning and then the guy refers to you two as 'friends' and u thought it was just starting out, and saying look just dot even bother....how are we/can we be friends when it was clearly something more! |

it has 2 interpretations or sides to it as i see - the 1st is just longing for and asking for acceptance by all, forgetting any preconceived expectations or standards set for us. Back to simplicity and accepting people in the natural state that they are, be it overweight, crazy, not conventionally pretty or whatever. I love that aspect. If the world was more like this it'd be a better place. We all tend to forget the important things in life and put too much emphasis on superficial things
Secondly, I can totally understand the relationship side of things as I used to listen to it frequently whilst in a bad relationship, where I never felt good enough because the other person put me down and patronised me. I used to listen to this and want to play it to him, like why cant u just accept me for me...?! |
