Shine the headlight, straight into my eyes. Like the roadkill, I'm paralysed. I think it has some self-distructive meaning. When you shine straingt into the eyes of an animal on the road the animal doesnt actually see anything, its becomes kind of blind, thats why it stops in the middle of the road like paralysed. So the singer kind of povokes the world to "kill" him. and he knows that everyone sees it through his disguise that he is helpless like a roadkill (like all actually teens are). Since I was born I started to decay. Now nothing ever ever goes my way I like to interpret it like "scince I was born i started to get more and more decadent, spoit, scinical. thats why i dont care about anything now" |

I don't think this song is meant to be told from a girls perspective. If so, then the name of the song clings just absurd. I think that the one who is singing was at his homosexual friends place, who could not resist kissing him. But still the authour slept on his couch, not in his bed. "Nothing assumed". The author didnt go further with this guy, but he is wondering if he missed something he didnt try? And if its meant to be a girls story, then i dont think that the guy used her. They just didnt try anything more then the kiss, left it like that, though the girl might feel now that she would like to know this guy better and she cant stop thinking of him. But why then would the song be named "Keen on boys"? There is no need to emphasise that girls are keen on boys:P |
