It doesn't have the weight that fag has in English. Queer (as spoken by a gay man) may be a better sense of what they mean. The sentiment here is similar to when the gay magazines playfully accuse Tom Cruise of being in the closet. It is like a gay person saying to someone "Fag, please! You know you love the dick!" It doesn't set out to insult homosexuals, merely to point out (in pretty filthy language) that James Bond is one. I think the band has several gay members. In Portuguese, insulting homosexuals tends to sound more like hip-hop. The usage is more like: "I am NOT a fag, you are". This is more like a Savage Love column kind of thing. |

Are we sure on the lyrics? What if the line "Smaller than my wife imagined" is "Smaller than I might imagine"? If that is so, it could totally be about a breakup. |
