| This song is clearly about a suicide attempt through pills that ends with her in the A&E or emergency room. She was "feeling lonely, feeling blue" over someone. The backless dress is a hospital gown in a pastel hospital ward. Dancing on the floor is a reference to her impending death on the floor where she overdosed herself. She was trying to phone the person she was suicidal over, a classic suicidal gesture. Akin to drunk dialing. She was phoning the person as she was "crawling out that door"... the door between life and death. "How did I get to accident and emergency? All I wanted was you to take me out high." is a reference to being surprised to wakeup in A&E instead of dying... being taken out high. Great song, great lyrics. | |
