I loved all the inputs here. At first, I knew it was dark and serious, than I just felt in love with the video too, then I just had to find any hidden meanings to it. That I did here, I agree about the pessimistic aspect of this. I feel like I can relate, I stress so much about something so small. This song described that feeling, too bad there was no closer. Perhaps I wanted the song to help me out of the phase, but I guess we just have to learn to control that. Easier said then done. Love the song, my favorite massive attack track and one of my all time favs. |

Amazing indeed, saw it with the intense video which I think match up perfectly. The ending will could suprise you the first time you watch it :-}
I get the feel of a life coming to an end: "I have burned my tomorrow" as in I won't live to see tomorrow. "And my dreams all fade away,"
"Fate's my destroyer" all led me to believe that.
As common as the phrase "edge of the future" I still don't get it. But because there's a line saying "I stand inside today," I am picturing a metaphor of life and time as a some kind of bowl or something.
The second half of the song was leaning towards love or some relationship. Perhaps, he/she came to the sad state they in because a loved one left them.
