This song is about constantly betraying your heart with someone you're not inlove with. At four in the morning he goes to a girls house and on the way there he keeps falling asleep at the wheel. he is nodding off and then before he knows it he's at this girls house. she unlocks the deadbolt of her door to let him in and the sound triggers deja vu because hes been at this house before. The girl opens the door and invites him in with smooth talk and offers him a drink (she wants to seduce him). thats when he has a strong feeling to not enter the door and go in but he's already there so why not? lol this girl is irresistible i guess."stolen water is sweet" is referring to alcohol since alcohol is stolen by the underage. then thats when my favorite part of the song comes in. at the moment when he's going to drink he suddenly thinks of his true love and in his mind she is warning him that the water is poison but he says in his mind "c'mon and give me my poison". then after their done he regrets what he has done and says "what have i done? is it too late to save me from this place?" this place of regret. thats my interpretation of the song and i think i hit the nail on the head. |

im the first comment!!(cliche first line). amazing what randomly flows threw his mind. he is so honest. you can relate to his work in the now or in the future. i purposely miss interpret songs to fit my own situation (like most people do) but i love this part. i replay it over and over. I'm jealous of you how come you so beautiful?
