I have to agree with littlegothdoll about one thing; I'm a Wiccan (a witch) 2, and I found that part a bit offensive. Although I really don't give a fuck. I mean, it's a great song. I think it's about peoples' ideas changing, to some extent, and also, as many people think, suicide. The first time I heard this song, I was attempting suicide (coward's way out, I know...). This song made me EXTREMELY depressed the first time I heard it. The fact that the girl shot her parents and/or shot herself to be released from her worldy pain is just SAD! This song really spoke to me the first time I heard it through. I mean, the part 'Someday, I’ll show you A shining sky' made me kinda sad. I've always loved this song as the opening theme of Death Note (Desu Nooto) and I have to agree with foreverago: it really DOES fit the tone of the story; kinda dark & mysterious, with a LOT of, well, death in the first dozen or so episodes.
