Now maybe someone mentioned this but I didn't read all seven pages so to me it sounds like he is saying when he was with his ex he felt like he ruled the world and now things just arent the same. i think they throw in all that ancient history stuff just for the sake of it because if it is a love song isn't it nice to mix things up with a little bit more unused material rather then just love blah blah blah. |

The only lyrics I payed attention to were
I went over the river, and into the woods, where did I go?
and I thought he said I went over the wheel like he got inot a car accident and was lying in the forest thrown from his car and people were searching for him. I thought it fit the sound of the song in a cool way but I didn't even hear any of these other funny lyrics lol |

This is one of those songs that just changed my life. So much emotion and honesty in those lyrics and amazing guitar. No band compares to them in my mind. Oh and I think he alternates between "your place is still at the heart of my everything" and "your face is still at the heart of my everything" |
