| I'm liking their new songs, however DCFC's lyrics seem to becoming more basic and simple than previous albums. | |

OH and isn't this line from Bound to Get Caught? "i'm getting getting getting hold of myself" Dan really incorporates lines from previous songs. He should just make a cd of his unreleased songs instead of picking them apart. |

robot child i noticed that too! When I first listened to it I was like, "Waittt isn't that from Same Outfit?" "i see the wrinkles in your face start to deepen and form" The wrinkles remind me of frown lines, so possibly this is about a bad time in their relationship. Or it could represent distance between them, the space between them becoming bigger. |

| smalltown charm, Dan wrote this song about Madi leaving for college and how he'd rather run away with her and live together than be apart. Notice the mention of cars, computers, credit cars, etc. Yeah pretty sure those weren't around during the civil war :| | |
| The Medic Droid – The Killer Anna Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song is definitely different from their others. I was wondering if Chris even wrote the lyrics to it? It doesn't seem like his style. I do love the song though, it's a bit deeper, well as deep as The Medic Droid can actually be, than their other songs. They have generally written songs that are catchy and fun to dance to, this was one still has those qualities but the lyrics are a bit deeper and not just about sex. | |

| Does anyone know who the woman is who sings with Jon in this song? | |

I hate that Dan took out this part for the Texas version: "it's six am and ice cream is the first thing on my list and pets improves our kisses after so many misses". Oh and someone mentioned how it is supposed to be "pez" instead of "pets", but I'm pretty sure it is "PET", as in PET ice cream. That actually makes more sense than Pez :) |

| Why did Dan edit the song for Texas and change "that shit" to "that step"? | |
| Miniature Tigers – Dino Damage Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I just want to add that when he says, "You gotta let go when they get that old, you gotta let 'em go" that holding onto for instance, a grudge for years and years until it has become old will do nothing but grow and hurt you. It grows to consume a person's life and stops them from living life to the fullest, so you have to "let them go" when you've simply held onto something so unhealthy for so long. | |
| Miniature Tigers – Dino Damage Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I've always interpreted this song as talking about regrets, grudges, bad relationships, hurt, anger, fear, and anything negative or constricting in a person's life. We have to let go of them because if we hold on they will destroy us eventually. | |
| Peachcake – did i just do that or was it jim carrey? Lyrics | 18 years ago |

"they're trying to set our moral provisions, by reconfiguring our sexual decisions, this wont last long we must take action, against the grain, graaaaaaain, male or female; i dont care, is that the problem, or everyones fear?" So I'm thinking that he's talking about gay marriage, or lack thereof. "man in office has power of this, taking away something thats so precious, saying it's not so sacred to us, but its sacred less, none the less," The president has to the power to decide if gay couples can marry. And we've all seen the excuses people use by saying "marriage is sacred between a man and a woman". In this song he points out that it is sacred to gay couples as well; who are the president and other politicians to decide what is and isn't sacred to a person? "I can't believe this society is so unaccepting, interrupting" I believe that says it all :) Because society is unaccepting, their ignorance, or sheer stupidity, interrupts the lives of people who would like to marry their partner and create a life together. |

| Cobra Starship – Prostitution Is The World's Oldest Profession (And I, Dear Madame, Am A Professional) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| He's wanting to show the other side to music, the business side. The side that isn't about passion or doing what you love because you love it. It's the financial, unemotional part of the career. | |

It's obviously about the music industry: "Do you remember when the only thing that mattered was, taking Time for the things you love? But now you got to humor, all these fools." In the beginning a career as a musician is about writing and making music because you love it and you write and sing about what is important to you. But now that they're bigger they are creating music for their fans and consumers and having to please them. It's more about business instead of about passion, just like prostitution. For a prostitute sex isn't about love it's about working and making money. "Go on believe, if it turns you on. Take what you need 'til your body is numb. Prostitution, is revolution. You can hate me, after you pay me. My submission, is your addiction. So just get out while you can" He's saying, buy their cds, pay for tickets to their shows, it doesn't really matter what you think of a band personally as long as your buying their merch and music and tickets. Just like a prostitute, they don't really care what their customer thinks of them as long as they pay them for the sex. |
